Our Founding Story

My name is Jeff and I am the founder of Boatvana.  I started Boatvana in 2017 when I was searching for a quality used boat for sale and I noticed that many of the local boat dealers near me in Massachusetts did not have their inventory available on some of the large boat marketplaces.  To view inventory I had to go directly to the boat dealership websites, and those websites were not always easy to find.  So I decided to create a database of boat dealers to make it easy for me to browse their websites. Since then I've continued to build out the site to make it easy for people to Buy a boat, Sell a boat, and Find a Boat Dealer.
 

I have experience in the Automotive world after spending a number of years working at DealerRater, the largest automotive dealer review platform in North America, and later under Cars.com after DealerRater was acquired.  I wanted to use my automotive experience and technical skills and apply that to the boating world, and so I launched Boatvana first as a boat dealer directory, and have continued to expand to incorporate boats for sale from boat dealers, boat brokers, and individual sellers.  My vision is for Boatvana to be a great resource for boaters, potential boaters, and people involved in the boating and marine industry to find new and used boats for sale, research boat prices, read boat and dealer reviews, and connect with other boating enthusiasts.
