Stock #318926 - Lowrance marine GPS, Lowrance marine radio new in the box, new chairs and seat cushion, Magma stainless BBQ grillNOTE - See the "Information on Condition" section section below for current status of the vessel.Following the success of the wildly popular Silverton 34 Convertible introduced in 1978, the Silverton 40 Convertible was introduced in 1985 as an easy and familiar upgrade for brand loyal customers and was produced for six years until the introduction of the Silverton 41.Powered by a pair of big-block, fresh water cooled Crusader engines with proven Borg Warner Velvet gearboxes in a conventional and easily maintained straight inboard drive configuration, these boats brought an increase in size so the growing family could stay on the water with a reasonable budget.A larger cockpit, flybridge, salon and the addition of a midships over/under bunk berth for the now teen aged kids or guest couple, while having all the familiarity of the smaller boats made this an easy upgrade decision for many.And for the sport fisher, accommodations for a bigger crew, more room to work and greater endurance, the view all around and of the cockpit below from the bridge helm is excellent, and the permanent soft top provides relief from full days in the sun. This particular example is a very simple boat, used as a day or weekend excursion vessel and is not currently equipped with either exotic new or dated old electronics seldom used or heeded, especially when boating on a river. Thus no windlass to fail when needed most, original freon based A/C unit retired and replaced with a modern air-source heat pump, a low maintenance vessel.The salon has full drapes for privacy, sofa bed, TV, carpeting and is well lit, a separate convertible dinette, with down-galley that is fully equipped with a 3-burner stove and oven, full sized refrigerator, sink, microwave and plenty of cabinetry.Forward to port is a bath vanity with separate wet head shower stall, opposite is an over/under bunk bed cabin, and in the bow an offset master bed cabin.
